Investor's FAQ

Does it hurt?

We have found that the level of discomfort varies depending on serveral factors: 1) the area receiving tratment- as some areas are more sensitive than others, 2) individual's tolerance- as everybody has their own threshold of tolerance, and 3) skin and hair type- as coarse hair might cause more discomfort than fine hair. Overall, laser hair removal causes very little discomfort in comparison to waxing. If you have concerns we can prescribe numbing cream, although most of our guests do not require it.

Is it permanent?

After extensive testing, the FDA approved laser for permanent hair reduction in 1995. Since the technology has not been around for a lifetime yet, it would be misleading to say it lasts a lifetime. One thing is for sure, once you visit us, you will meet our staff and see testimonials from people who have not waxed, tweezed, or shaved in years. Clearly it is effective or we would not be in business!

Am I a candidate for treatment?

We have FDA approved lasers to accommodate different skin tones, so yes! Our current clientele includes all different skin colors and ethnicities. Although, darker hair is treated more effectively. It is important to schedule your no obligation, complimentary consultation to see for yourself if we are right for you!

What should I do before a treatment and expect?

1) Do NOT wax, tweeze, or use hair removal creams at anything during treatments. 2) It is important to keep the treated area out of the sun for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to treatment. This includes tanning beds and self-tanning creams. 3) Please shave the treated area within 24 hours before your treatment. 4) All skin products / makeup must be removed thoroughly prior to treatment. 5) If the treated area requires disrobing, you will be given a towel to drape yourself. 6) Please be on time to your appointment. We make every effort to ensure our clients do not have to wait. We have the right to reschedule your appointment if you are late or have not complied with pre-treatment instructions. 7) If you are or have been on antibiotics within 2 week of your appointment, please let us know before coming in because some are photosensitive and can cause burns or sensitivity. 8) We recommend you NOT to use Retin-A 2 weeks prior to treatment. You may resume after your treatment unless your skin is irritated from the laser.

How many treatments do I need?

On average we recommend 6 treatments, one every 4-6 weeks. The number of treatments needed depend on different factors such as the area, skin and hair type, hair growth, and more. Talk with us to discuss how many you will need for your personal hair removal.
